Free shipping - Mint Condition Vintage Boy Scouts of America BSA Glass MUG / CUP "CATCH THE SCOUTING SPIRIT BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA W/ LOGO" and CENTRAL OHIO COUNCIL. WHITE WITH ENAMELED RED LETTERING. On back side also red lettering is "Central Ohio Council". On bottom in raised lettering is "oven proof - made in USA and what looks like Anchor Hocking logo. BSA
) is one of the largest youth organizations in the United States, with more than 2.4 million youth members and nearly one million adult volunteers. Since its founding in 1910 as part of the international Scout Movement, more than 110 million Americans have been at some point members of the BSA.
BSA had two notable predecessors in the United States: the Woodcraft Indians started by Ernest Thompson Seton in 1902 and the Sons of Daniel Boone founded by Daniel Carter Beard in 1905 in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1907, Robert Baden-Powell, founded the Scouting movement in England using elements of Seton's works among other influences. Several Scout programs for boys started independently in the U.S. (see Scouting in the United States). Many of these Scout programs in the U.S. merged with the BSA
